Hi, I'd say wash the area with plain water to make sure something like your washing powder hasn't caused an irritation. Then book in to see you midwife and ask her what you can put on it to calm the irritation down.  Not sure whether anti-histamines are safe or not while preggers.  Try not to scratch in the meantime though, try a damp cloth to cool it down, or just rub it as opposed to scratching.  Its most likely just your skin getting dry as it stretches though.  Hope its not too bad.  Nat x

I got that when I was about 20 weeks pregnant.  It started across my bump and eventaully spread down the insides of my arms and across the tops of my thighs.  It drove me mad and was just like prickly heat.  I went to see the doctor who said it was quite common, and that it can last a few weeks or until the end of the pregnancy.  He told me to use calamine lotion and that seemed to help.  Luckily it dissapeared after about 3 weeks.  The doctor did say something interesting though, he said it was caused by a hormonal reaction between your hormones and those of the baby.  He said about 70% of the cases were when the baby was a boy.  Guess what I had??? Yes a baby boy.  My sister in law also had this rash and yes she had a boy aswell.  Hope it clears up for you quickly xx

hi there, i also suffer with this condition with my last three pregnancies (medical term pruitis of prenancy). There is nothing you can put on it that will stop it or cure it , better to keep more moisturised than to dry it up which the calamine seems to do . then that just makes you wanna scratch the hell out of it! which it will scar to, but they gradually fade, you are stuck with it for the duration and at the moment this hot weather , makes it worse ! i had this with both my boy and girl which did clear up within couple weeks of birth , good luck and wish you well  x

I had the same condition which started on my stomach and on my face. I got given E45 cream and calamine lotion as this helps in some cases. However on mine it didn't and spread to my body. If the creams or lotions given to you do not seem to be taking affect over the 2 weeks your prescribed them, ask to see a dermogologist as they may be able to give you something stronger that will help subside the effects of the rash. Bear in mind, mine was a severe case, and for most women the above works. Hope all works out well.
