Im 35 weeks pregnant & my 2 year old daughter has suspected swine flu. suspected because they dont test you anymore so how can you really know? although its pretty bad so I guess it is swine flu.

Im trying not to panic and just take care of her. There isnt anyone else who can look after her, she just wants mummy anyway.

Heard so much conflicting advice, am I right to just stay home with her and hope for the best? As I have no symptoms (yet). And deal with it if & when I do get some symptoms? Just abit worried with all the scaremongering going about, im ok at the moment, but obviously likely to catch it. Any advise? I cant be the only one with a toddler whose caught it.

Hi im 19 weeks pregnant and was treated for suspected swine flu a week ago. If you get any symptoms phone them and they will prescribe relenza which is a inhaler which isnt meant to touch the baby it meant to stay on the lungs so apparently

Sorry accidently posted without finishing. Apparently it is safe for pregnant ladies. Iam worried tho for my baby cos like you i heard so much conflicting advice. And as i cant go into any hospital i cant find out if my baby ok until my next scan which is 2 weeks away. Hope that been helpful.

i had swine flu and am 14 weeks pregnant they gave me the relenza inhaler witch did not work for me. luckly i passed the danger stage off pregnancy witch was good but i got to wait for my 20 weeks scan to see if my babys okay. 

Hi,  i dont know why we all panic about swine flu! every year we have flu and it kills thousands! this has killed very few people and the preg woman who died from it had serious health complications so she would have been at risk re: the flu we have every year anyway! do you know approx 10 women die in labour every year???!! swine flu has killed 1 preg woman! I know which one im more worried about!!! dont panic, relax a little or we'll have mass hysteria!!! in the UK. Vicky
