Re: anyone overdue

Hi I was 2 weeks late with both of mine. 40 weeks is an approx time and not an exact science thats why they say between 38-42 weeks is expected delivery dates. The 'date' they give you is only so they know 'on average when baby should be expected' baby will come when baby is ready, and if they are late, of course its a nitemare for us as its uncomfy tiring etc but the health of baby should be the main concern. As 'hospitalised induction' has its risks for both mum and baby, the decision to induce should be for a medical reason only, not just because mum is fed up and tired of being pregnant. But of course, as Ive been late with 2 preg I can appreciate the waiting is horrendous! but by the same token women who struggle to conceive, or those who miscarry would love to 'be overdue' as they would give anythin to be pregnant and have a baby. So we need to think ourselves lucky we are in this position, and two weeks overdue is nothing timewise compared to 10 years of trying to get pregnant in the first place. Anyway, off my soapbox now : ) I hope your baby arrrives soon x Victoria
