FOR JOANNE

I did this b4 my lo was born so when it asked 'date of your childs birth' I just put in my due date - you have to do this in order for it to work out how much you will get. Tax credits are complicated - you say your earnings are £35,000 combined but tax credits will deduct off that your maternity pay from the day you took maternity to the day you return to work - i.e off my earnings they took £3500 so that lowererd my wages and gave me more tax credits - either go online to the website i suggested or contact them via telephone - you may only get a small amount each week but it will be better than nothing - I'm certain you wont get working family tax credit as your earning have to be below £15,000 or £16,000 but you will get child tax credit, and maybe a small amount towards childcare if you return to work. Good luck with it x Vicky
