mummy2-1 Joined: 19/03/2009 Posts: 471 FOR DEB, teething 22/04/2009 04:07 hey hun thanks for your reply after i read your post i ad a look in my lil ones mouth again and can def see lil whites coming through gums, the first thing i thought was to get some bongela but then when i went to asda i saw it only for 4mnths plus, so i looked for teething rings and they all seem huge and i dont think my baby could comfortabley chew on them!!! do you no of anything i could try??? or did you manage to get any small teething rings from any where?? thanks xx
Deb79 Joined: 21/03/2007 Posts: 25 Re: FOR DEB, teething 22/04/2009 13:48 Hi, I just let them bite on a rattle, Mothercare used to sell one which is really light i think they still do, its a ring with little beads in it with an orange teddy (i think!) as for bongela I never used anything like that. I think if you can get them used to the pain it doesn't bother them. I've not been up with any of mine in the night. It sounds mean but they get teeth for about 2 1/2 years and I think if you give them bongella when they have gone to sleep and it wears off they are gonna wake up for you to reapply it,once mine went off that was it. mummy2-1 Joined: 19/03/2009 Posts: 471 Re: FOR DEB, teething 23/04/2009 00:58 hey deb, ill go to mothercare today and look for that rattle coz my poo lil ones gonna bite his hand off soon, i dont think im going to use any sorta gels either it worrys me giving my lil one medication when shes so young, also i no its abit of a long way off but when do you start brushing teeth when there all the way out?? and if theyve only got one tooth do you just brush that one or wait till shes got a few?? xx
mummy2-1 Joined: 19/03/2009 Posts: 471 Re: FOR DEB, teething 23/04/2009 03:47 on my god!!! im so glad you put me off bongela, i just woke up and watched the morning news and i caught the tail end of a story saying that bongela when given to an under 16 can give brain damage and liver problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, i think i heard it right but like i said only caught half the report, i worry about everything when it comes to my baby and this would have totally freaked me out if i had brought bongela xx

If i'm brushing her 2 brothers teeth she pulls at my arm til I do hers! Only use a tiny bit of toothpaste though. It is worrying what to give them and what not to, People say i'm mean by not giving them calpol etc all the time but I think sleep is sometimes better for some things obviuosly if they have a temperature then I would give them something! (not that mean lol!!) Anything else I can help with give me a shout and i'll try my best!! Deb x
