Car seat for big babies

Most rearfacing carseats only go up to 9kgs and my son already weighs over 8kgs at 4 months old. Babies under the age of 9 months still need to face backwards so I need to find a rearfacing carseat, preferably one that will last for a while, so I don't need to buy yet another one! Any suggestions?

I have the same issue as my little fella is 4 months, but is 8.4 kgs already, I have checked the maxi cosi though and there is a sticker on it that says that it is up to 13kgs, so hoping this will be ok for a while yet although he is so long his feet touch the back panel of the car.

You want to look at combination car seats which are suitable from birth and can be used rear-facing until it is ok to turn them around, and they are supposed to last until approximately 4 years so you should not have to buy another too soon. Britax does a combination car seat.
