Stomach cramps

I'm 27 weeks with baby number 2 and last night started having really painful stomach cramps - not braxton hicks as i get these all the time and know what they feel like. These are like i needed to go to the toliet but when i tried i just started to feel sick. They came every minute for about half an hour, then went away again. Never had anything like it with my first, so just wondered if anyone else had this. Baby movements are fine and normal this morning which i'm taking as a good sign. Thanks. X

chantelle67 Joined: 30/01/2006 Posts: 5 Re: Stomach cramps 10/05/2009 16:05 i had pains which were like stabbing pains across the bottom of my back and lower bump at 32 wks, i went to maternity unit and they discovered it was a urine infection and gave me antibiotics, was fine 4 days later, so if ur worried give ur mw a call hope this helps chan 40wk +2
emily711 Joined: 17/11/2008 Posts: 11 Re: Stomach cramps 10/05/2009 18:03 hi, i had the same thing happen to me at 27wks and i went to the delivery unit, it turned out to be a urine infection and had antibiotics for a week, best to see sum1 coz the midwife who sorted me out said a urine infection can bring on labour. hope ya get it sorted, take care xx
