back to work

gemma711 Joined: 05/11/2008 Posts: 14 back to work aarr im going back to work tommorrow!!! im so scared about leaving my little boy at nursery for the whole day tommorrow. we dropped him off for a half hour session last week and when i picked him up he was screaming the place down. any advice on making it easier for him???? he is a very sociable baby (but i guess only when im there). hes 8 months old. thank you

kirsty121 Joined: 12/03/2009 Posts: 48 Re: back to work the only advice i have is to make sure he sees you leave. it sounds silly but trying to sneak away quietly will only stress him out when he realises youre gone. also if he has a favourite toy make sure you take that. good luck xx

Jacqueline401 Joined: 16/10/2007 Posts: 346 Re: back to work Hi Gemma, all I can say is I went back to work when my daughter was 9 months, she screamed at her trials and took a good 4-5 weeks to settle at nursery properly. She's now 15 months and loves nursery, has done for ages, loves playing with the kids, all the toys, the staff and the garden and I am very content knowing that she is happy there, it just takes time. Also, I work full-time!! Good luck - Jac & Holly x
