Second Pregnancy Worries

Hi, I'm probably just being stupid, but would appreciate some reassurance. I am eight weeks pregnant with my second baby and this pregnancy is turning out to be nothing like the first. With my first daughter I just knew I was pregnant straight away, I had implementation bleeding and further bleeding throughout the first three months, painful breasts, sickness, a bad temper and tired all the time. This all started before I even took a test. This time I was shocked to find out I was pregnant and have had no symptoms what so ever. I am beginning to think there is something wrong or I am imagining my pregnancy (4 tests would say otherwise though!). Can pregnancys be completely different? Many thanks for your help. Lissa x

yea its totaly normal. im nearly 29weeks gone with my second (1st was a girl & so is this bump) with my daughter i started feeling sickness before i even did the test but with this bump it didnt start till much later and also finished much sooner ...wich is a good thing :D.  my cravings have been so different ,the off putting smells i couldnt stand last time havnt been that bad this time. also last time my boobs got much bigger and i needed breast pads from 20 weeks. although this time my breast started leaking around the same time they havnt got as big and i havnt once needed to use breast pads because they only leak in the bath. every pregnancy, birth and child is completely different :) and i guess sometimes it dosnt really sink in untill you see them wriggling around on the ultrasound screen. take care :)

hiya,

all pregnancies are different! I bet everyone will say its a boy (because it was so different to la\st time). My second pregnancy took quite a while to happen and I just believed that I wouldn't be having anymore so when the 3 tests were positive still didn't believe it! No symptoms at all so when I saw I was 15 weeks at the dating scan just burst into tears! Now I'm showing differently to last time and have started to feel baby move ~(am now 23 weeks) ~so can't kid myself that its my imagination any more and can enjoy knowing I am going to have a baby soon rather than thinking I had some weird hormone inbalance that gave positive results! haha,.

I do wish doctors would confirm pregnancy earlier although I know home tests are just as accurate. Just for peace of mind

good luck with the rest of your pregnancy x

Thank you so much for your replys, they were very helpful. I now have developed some symtoms, although I wish it wasn't vomiting and passing out! Feel better though, because at least I feel pregnant now and not just a woman with an overactive imagination.
