i am 18 years old and am planning to gt pregnant, i have PID and was told by my doctor that it can comme back at any time and eaacch time it comes back it will damage my tubes even more so its best to start tryin as soon as possible. I decided to leave college and get an apprenticeship, which i start on the 15th, i havee a 3 month probationary period and after that will be taken on permanently. I am not yet pregnant and was wondering if thy could ack me after the 3 month period and decide not to take me on permanently after my apprenticeship? please help.

an employer can not sack u on the grounds of u being pregnant and u don't have to tell ur employer straight away , if u r not pregnant already, u probably wont find out u r pregnant until those 3 months r nearly up anyway, but i would check with citizens advice bureau just to be on the safe side coz i don't know if the rules r different for apprentices, good luck x

as you say, you can't be sacked on the grounds of pregnancy, however i would watch your back as an employer i used to work for used to 'sack' people they didn't like/burdens/people they couldn't prove were stealing etc by playing the rudundency card! spineless company, but hopefully there arn't too many like it anymore. . . sorry if this has worried you slightly but hope it helps. good luck on ttc xx
