A Girl I Know Had Her Baby She Had A Girl And Called Her Casey, I'm Raging As Thats What I Planned To Call My Baby If It Is A Girl. And I Can't Still Call My Baby It Because Me And The Other Girl Have The Same Name So It Would Be So Stupid If We Both Had The Same Names And So Did Our Kids. I've Loved The Name Casey From Before I Got Pregnant And Thats What I've Been Going To Call My Wee One From I Found Out :(

Hi there - it really doesn't matter what other people and friends call their babies - if you like the name, go ahead and name her that! This happened to me with 2 friends using the 2 names I liked - one had her baby before me - the other was due a month after me but went and told everyone they were using that name once she heard that I liked it as well!

I said - stuff it! I'm calling him what I want. I heard that my friend went round saying how I had "stolen" her name, but she still called him the same anyway. Who knows if I'll be friends with them in 5, 10, 20 years time - but I will still have my son so I wanted the best name for him.

she cant take your babies name....a name isnt something that can only belong to one person. call your kid what you want. at the end of the day your the one that has to call it that day in day out so just pick what you like and dont care who else has that name :). my 1st is called lilly and about a month or two back a friend of mine had a little girl and named it lilly aswell. i didnt get offended or think she stole it, infact i just thought it was nice that she liked my daughters name so much that she chose to call her daughter that.

 hi janine, to be fair i kinda no where your coming from, i like unusual names too, something thats not heard of . when you hear the name you have chosen for your baby its like damn that was my name lol but i supose you just got to get on with it, if you like the name go for it girl :)

Hi, 9 years ago a friend of mine (not close) was having a boy and so were we, our partners were very good friends, I had chosen Ryan and apparently they had chosen Luke Ryan, when theirs was born 3 months before mine they called it Ryan, we also had the same first names I didn't even think about that and went ahead and called my son Ryan, we saw very little of each other but still speak occasionally now, it really didn't matter at all. I am now having a girl (apparently) and I can't think of any names at all!!! Call your child what you want, Good luck x
