Hello I am trying for my 3rd child, I had one depo injection on 31st july and fell pregnant whilst on it unfortunately I miscarried and didnt realise I was actually pregnant, this was on the 1st november and I havent had a period since and would like to try again, I am no longer on the injection adn only had one so what to do I do now?

hey hun, sorry to hear about your MC , i came off the depo in april this year as me and hubby want another bubba, i had three injections and my periods still aint right, i got told even after just 1 injection it could take at least 6 months for your periods to come back and for the injection to leave your system, also got told by doc that just because im bleeding (have done a lil here and there) doesnt mean im releasing eggs again...... i did a lil research online as i felt really helpless that there was nothing i could do and i found out that the depo injection has been used to castrise men! (cant spell lol) i did get told by my doc that going on the pill will get my periods back to normal more quickly? in any case i guess were just gonna have to wait and see what happens im sure mother nature will sort it out in time, also im not preggers yet. xx

hi thank you for your reply I went to see my gp for a bit of advice he didnt recommend me going on the pill to regulate my periods but said if I havent had one by may and not pregnant either he will investgate to see if there may be a problem. I cant understand how I managed to get pregnant on the injection but yet now looks like it will take a while for me to fall pregnant again.best of luck to you hope you get your positive soon.xxx

Hi, I have had just one Depo injection, back in december 2008, and here we are, a full 13 months later and still not pregnant, I just didnt think that one injection would do this to my body........ huge mistake having it in the first place. I have had a little look on the internet too and have been a bit scared by how long some people have been trying to get pregnant after it, but my cycles have returned to some kind of "normal" the past few months after bleeding every 12-14 days when I first came off the injection! so I hope it wont be to much longer before I get my BFP!

 hi i thought i would suggest something and its pregnecare tablets try them they really do work i got pregnant with in a month of using them you can start taking them now up untill well even through breast feeding and all midwifes suggest them i used the normal pregnecare not the concive ones but they really do work like i say anyway good luck lisa x
