Hi, I too have PCOS, we tried for 3 years in total to get pregnant. I don't ovulate naturally and have to be given drugs, tio cut a lon story short I was given Clomid which didn't touch me, then went onto IUI with the gonadatrophins. This didn't work at all so suggested I went on metformin, in this time i had ovarian drilling and then they changed my injectable drugs to a different one (which I can't recall the name of at the moment. I don't know which one of these three it was but my 1st IUI procedure worked and now I'm holding my 2 week old baby. I is such a long, hard and tough road but it is all worth it in the end. i would say give metformin a chance, it helped me to manage my weight as well so that's a good thing, it can have some nasty side effects but for most people these wear off when your body gets used to it. Good luck and if you're not happy with anything they're doing, tell them, it's your body.xx
