Hi all, I have quite a bad chest and a blocked ear which has now turned into ear ache. I went to the doc's this morning who gave me penicillin. I'm not quite keen on this doc, she doesn't always seem to know what she is doing. Anyway when I went into the chemist I asked the pharmasist if it was safe, he said that nothing is safe in pregnancy but with penicillin I might not be allergic but my baby might. Well this worried me as my youngest son had a bad reaction to it at the age of one and has been advised never to take it again. I'm worried that the baby may get a reaction in my tummy and me not know about it. I don't know weather to just try and ride it out without the antibiotics. Anyone got any advice please. hi. i cant say yes or no. if it doesn't feel right don't take it. why don't you phone your midwife for advice? is there more than one doc at your surgery? if your midwife doesn't like it either try a different doc tomorrow. or after speaking to your midwife phone surgery explain to reception your worrys and ask them to have a word with your fav doc.
