fertile or ovalation?

hiya just wondering if any one could help me.. me n my boyfriend want to start trying for our second child.. my ovaltion date is this sunday 10th.. i was just wondering is that the best day to fall pregnant on or my fertile day which is the 7th to the 12th.. (i have worked out on the internet) we started yesterday n we said we was guna try every day until the 12th.. as we didnt plan our first we didnt predict when i would fall pregnant.. so not sure how it all works to be honest with you because i have spoke to friends n there saying that ur most fertile days are just after having a period.. please help thanks
